Sioux Falls, South Dakota “When people deny elections, fail to protect your privacy, they silence your voice. Incompetence is just as dangerous it threatens our democracy and the future of South Dakota.”
-Terrence Davis
Terrence Davis knows what South Dakota stands for: family, hard work, and doing what’s right-even when no one’s watching. As a husband, father, and former law enforcement officer, he strives for those values every day. Now, he’s stepping up to protect our elections and restore trust where it’s been shaken.
South Dakota deserves a Secretary of State who puts people before politics-a leader who believes that every vote counts, no matter who you are or where you live.
As Secretary of State, Terrence will lead with transparency, accountability, and service. He’ll oversee the Business, Elections, and Administrative Divisions with one guiding principle: integrity and people first. Under his leadership, the office will serve as a trusted steward, not lords over people, delivering more efficient, accessible services with the respect South Dakotans deserve.
Terrence believes every voice matters from voters and business owners to nonprofit leaders and everyday citizens. He understands the vital role local businesses and nonprofits play in our economy and public safety. He’ll fight to make sure your concerns are not just heard-but prioritized.
He’s also committed to making voting both secure and accessible, especially for rural communities. And he’ll modernize the Administrative Division so that state government works better for everyone.
With degrees in Criminal Justice and Public Policy and currently pursuing a Doctorate in Policy and Law Terrence brings unmatched experience and unwavering dedication. As a former state trooper in both Tennessee and South Dakota, he’s seen firsthand the grit and resilience that make this state strong. With Terrence Davis, we can restore trust and protect every voice, every vote.
